331. Oppopet Mouse

There are at least two elements of cuteness - exciting and clever - to the oppopet wireless mouse (by elecom and nendo). One: I have discovered the excitement of seeing a whale’s tail going into the water during whale season in Hawaii, before they head back to Alaska. While it would be more awesome to see a whale breach and to get a view of their whole body, the chances are much lower. Two: Using a wireless mouse, it’s easy to lose the USB portion of it because they are so tiny and sometimes you need to take it out of your computer. But with this mouse, when you take it out of your computer, you just put it back on the mouse (well, now the mouse is either a whale, fox, bunny, dolphin, pig, dog, or cat). Plus, the USB tail is too cute to lose.

BookBook by Twelve South, for the MacBook Pro, Air, iPad, and iPhone, are all cleverly cute and very functional. These cases serve as solid protection with leather hardback book structure; and as a great disguise for important i-Things (except the phone because, who, other than maybe a cute little kitten reading a book, has a book that tiny!). But something the iPhone BookBook has that the others don’t: it also works dually as a wallet. Uh, end of story for this novel computer/iPad/iPhone case!

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is a cute children’s book on the iPad by ex-Pixar designer, William Joyce, with Moonbot Studios. The interactive elements of the book are fun: you can play a small piano piece and even paint the sky blue! The illustrations are beautiful, and it’s a fun story about the power of books themselves.
