323. Frozen Planet - First Three Episodes’ Photos

Frozen Planet is a Discovery Channel/BBC co-production four years in the making, by the same documentary team behind the amazing Planet Earth. The series premiered on the Discovery Channel on March 18, and there will be a new episode every Sunday.
Frozen Planet documents the earth’s polar regions, and is “epic in scale.” The Frozen Planet team, combined, filmed in every nation in the Arctic and Antarctic circles, and spent 2,356 days in the field, 1.5 years at sea, and more than six months on sea ice, and 134 hours beneath the ice.
Many of the other photos in the Frozen Planet’s photo gallery, of the area and region and other wildlife in the polar regions, are amazing. Some of the video clips are also awesome.
