Eyescream
Eyescream is a creamery with cute ice cream (there is such a thing!) designed by Barcelona-based marion + merche. The creamery solves the problem of messy ice cream by creating character-monsters out of deconstructed ice cream (ice cream and toppings separate), with sugar eyes placed on top, and neat packaging. Each flavor has its own character and monster, shown with cute illustrations.
Irving Harper: Works in Paper
Irving Harper: Works in Paper, is what looks like a beautiful book by Skira Rizzoli, with the paper works of industrial designer Irving Harper. Harper began crafting small paper sculptures five decades ago, and this hobby has stayed with him for the rest of his life. He was the Director of Design at George Nelson Associates, and is known for designing the Marshmallow Chair for Herman Miller and the George Nelson Ball Clock.
Little Danbo and Big Danbo
Danbo is a Japanese cardboard robot that provides photographers with a cute subject. The figure originally appeared in 2007 in the manga Yotsuba&! by Kiyohiko Azuma. Beginning in 2009, photographers began putting Danbo in everyday situations, resulting in some cute and creative photos. (Photos: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)
